Project Overview
Electrical installation works were delivered for HMP Grampian, a purpose-built custodial facility located in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Constructed on the site of the former HMP Peterhead, the development comprises four separate house blocks serving adult men, adult women, young offenders, and a community integration unit.
The project required a complete and resilient electrical infrastructure capable of supporting 24/7 secure operations across residential accommodation, control areas, welfare facilities, and operational spaces. The installation included full power distribution, lighting systems, security infrastructure, emergency backup power, and integration with life safety and building management systems.
Particular emphasis was placed on secure wiring methods, restricted area compliance, and integration of surveillance and access control systems to meet the stringent operational and safety standards required within a custodial environment.
