Pumping Skid Replacement Waste Water Treatment Plant

Project Overview

Advanced Engineering Group delivered a pumping skid replacement at Broadholme Waste Water Treatment Works on behalf of TES for the client @one. The project involved the removal of an existing pump assembly and installation of a fully integrated replacement system designed to improve operational reliability and maintain efficient wastewater treatment performance within a live processing environment.

The works commenced with a detailed site survey and accurate measurement of the existing pump and associated pipework to ensure precise integration of the new installation. Fabrication drawings and material schedules were prepared to support efficient offsite manufacturing and minimise disruption to site operations. Prefabrication enabled improved quality control and reduced on-site programme duration within the operational treatment facility.

New pipework assemblies were fabricated offsite, including cutting, fitting, and coded welding in accordance with approved specifications. Flanges, fittings, and connection points were installed within the workshop environment prior to transportation to site. Following safe isolation of the system, the existing pump and pipework were removed, new support brackets and fixings were installed, and the replacement pump was positioned and aligned. The prefabricated pipework was then installed and connected, with final site welding and bolted connections completed to specification. Comprehensive inspection, testing, and commissioning support ensured leak-free operation and verified correct mechanical performance prior to handover.
